Episode 15: How The Game Is Playered (Part II)
April 5th, 2021 – Greetings listeners! This post is also a little late, but we’ve been doing pretty well on getting out the latest episodes on time, so hopefully we’ll get there soon with posts on this site too. There’s still a lot Alex and I are working no with the podcast so stayed tuned for a lot of great things in the upcoming future!
This was a fun episode to record with Tim! We talked a little about it on the episode, but there was a lot of great discussion going on, and we really had to split things up into multiple episodes to make this work. We’ve been incredibly impressed with the caliber of our guests as we’ve been able to discuss a wide range of topics and have a lot of fun with doing it! Tim was effortless in transitioning from speaking last episode about traditional investments to cryptocurrency, then switching over to talking about sports, and seamlessly working our way into beer and finally we talked about Jake’s Bar! With all of the topics we discussed, we didn’t really lose any beats at any point and hopefully that shows in the final episode.
Alex and I are continuing to plug away with the show, and we’ve got a few more episodes already set and ready to go, but we did take a slight break with the holidays and some travel we both had planned, and I think that was good for both of us. We’re both having a lot of fun with the show, and have been very happy with the positive feedback we’ve been receiving and have found that to be very encouraging. I’m still not certain if we’re going to do another recap at 20 or not, but I feel like we’re both getting into a good cadence and we’re enjoying some very interesting conversations with guests. Some of the recent guests have talked about how they enjoy podcasting as a medium compared to other mediums as we can really spend a lot of time digging into topics with some more depth than just covering highlights. This has been something Alex and I have been enjoying, we like to try to dig into different topics as there’s often so much to our various passions and interests, and it’s exciting to see that a lot of this seems to resonate with our listeners too.
For this specific episode, I enjoyed digging into the world of cryptocurrency some, as it’s a personal interest and passion, and we’re hoping to have on an additional guest in the future to talk more with us about it as well. The talk about our beer picks stood out to me as well, I think Alex and I tend to gloss over some on the “what are you drinking” section, as I’m not confident in how interesting our listeners or guests may find it sometimes when we talk about what we’re drinking. If this is something that listeners would enjoy hearing more about, please let us know, and we’ll be happy to expand this some more.
Earlier, I mentioned we have a few things planned that will continue to keep things interesting, so I think we can share with you readers what they are:
- Posting the podcast on YouTube, this has been something we’ve stayed away from some, but I think we’re just about due to start posting there as another way for listeners to check out the show!
- Getting some Between Two Studds Merch! We’re thinking maybe CafePress or something with a few branded things, nothing too crazy, and we’ll probably post here for folks that are interested. If you have any suggestions or ideas here, please let us know!
- We’re also considering expanding our social media presence a little more, while we have Instagram, we may be due for a Facebook page, an official Twitter account, and who knows maybe a Discord server too at some point.
- Working on trying to get some form of “official” sponsorship, we’ve both been a little mixed on this, as we enjoy plugging things that we’re passionate about, but also started with no audience, and didn’t see the point of monetizing with a tiny audience. If we do end up with any sponsorship, rest assured it’ll be for something we can get behind 100% and have likely already talked about.
Alright, enough house keeping, be sure to check out this episode when you get a chance, we’re really proud of it!
